Yoga retreat to Morocco
Welcome to my annual Iyengar Yoga retreat to the rewarded eco Kasbah in Morocco
I welcome you all to a wonderful week of yoga, meditation, and prayers in the beautiful and silent desert hills of Morocco in my annual yoga retreat to Morocco.
This retreat is for experienced students of Hatha Iyengar yoga. It is not for beginners. And knowledge of my teaching or any other certified Iyengar yoga teacher is advisable.
Nature is fantastic in the autumn with blue skies and bright light. The temperature is probably like a perfect hot Danish summer with hot days and cool mornings and evenings.
We will be staying at the serene, peaceful Atlas Kasbah (Berber castle) where the wonderful kind owners -Hélene and Hassan - are running the Kasbah based on the principles of ecotourism. The Kasbah is located in the middle of the large eco-sanctuary l'Arangerai which is part of Unesco World Heritage. Kasbah has received the world nominee 1st Price as the most remarkable and sustainable tourist place IN THE WORLD!
Your day starts at sunrise with meditation and silent prayers followed by yoga practice. In the afternoon there will be relaxing yoga as well, with an afternoon off.
The owner and founder of Copenhagen Yoga, Mette ( yoga Mette as she is called ) Senior One international certified Iyengar yoga teacher is responsible for the whole retreat.
“ The yoga retreat to Morroco with Copenhagen yoga was such a beautiful experience. The setting, accommodation and food were perfect, and the yoga practice truly helped me to deepen my understanding of yoga and of my own yoga practice. The venue, an old kasbah, is situated at the foothills of the Atlas Mountains and is just ideal for a retreat, allowing you to focus on your inner journey, a true retreat from the world. Mette, the yoga teacher, takes you through an unforgettable yoga experience that, altogether with the setting, will leave a beautiful imprint on your soul. I would highly recommend this retreat to those seeking to deepen their knowledge and experience of yoga.”Christian Bank-Pedersen
