JOIN ME IN SWEET MAROCCO
I welcome you all to a wonderful week of yoga, meditation, and prayers in the beautiful and silent desert hills of Morocco in my annual yoga retreat to Morocco. This retreat is for students that are familiar with my teaching or from any other certified Iyengar yoga teachers.
Nature is fantastic at this time in Morocco with blue skies and clear light. The temperature is roughly like a perfect Danish summer, with hot days and cool mornings and evenings. Remember, however, warm clothes - the nights can be cold - it is a desert area after all. A flashlight can come in handy as it is totally dark at night except for the millions of stars above us.
Your day starts with meditation and silent prayer, followed by yoga practice. In the afternoon there will again be gentle yoga practice, with an afternoon free to have a hammam in their beautiful marble hammam, or relax in their Himalayan salt room! and possibly book a massage at the kasbah.
A good idea is to bring a small notebook so that you can write down your thoughts, experiences and experiences.

Mette's approach integrates traditional yoga, pranayama and meditation techniques with a strong focus on healing from trauma and managing stress. "During my more than 30 years as a yoga teacher, I have seen - AND experienced - how people live in a way that wears them out. Yoga, meditation and breathing exercises are effective methods of maintaining one's physical and mental health.
If you yourself have experienced insomnia, stress or persistent physical or mental pain, you know that well-being cannot be underestimated.
We humans have a fundamental desire to live a life as whole people, in balance.
On my retreat you will be taught the traditional form of yoga (which includes meditation, mindful breathing, chanting and yoga asanas) where it is possible to achieve a state where imbalances melt away and where you rest within yourself in a way that both feels fantastic and extraordinary, but at the same time infinitely equal, as one's true self.
It may be difficult to explain without sounding mystical or dreamy, but the insights and states you can experience are both true and important.” Mette Ørum
