Welcome to this completely unique opportunity to participate in Mette's yoga therapeutic one-year-course, with a focus on stress and the late effects of trauma. The one-year-course is aimed at both private individuals and professionals. Learn to strengthen and improve your daily life, both professionally and privately. After the course, you will be better equipped to handle everyday stress. A nine-month course focusing on dizziness, reduced immune system, neck pain, headache, insomnia, stress, burnout, deep grief, anxiety, sadness, difficulty concentrating, neck, lower back and back pain.
Mette is the most highly trained yoga therapy teacher in Denmark, and over many years has taught and helped thousands with late effects from head trauma. Now she shares her experiences, and will teach you how you can help others.
During the course, you will also be taught by a number of professionals guest teachers in the fields of psychology, (neuro)anatomy, mindfulness and yoga philosophy.

THE ONE-YEAR-COURSE INCLUDES
YOGA THERAPEUTIC EXERCISES
How to move from one yoga exercise to another, and learn to understand what the different movement patterns in the yoga positions do for the mind, body and mental state.

This is an important part of your course. About half of each module will be teaching you how to get the most out of Mette's therapeutic trauma yoga.
FUNDAMENTAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE SEQUENCE
You will be taught which positions go well together, so that you gain thorough insight and experience of the positions. In order to get off to a good start, the participants will each be taught Mette Ørum's entire yoga therapeutic sequence. These sequences will be taught and analyzed so you can modify them afterwards on your own.
USE OF PROPS
A very important part is that you learn to understand and experience Mette´s unique methods of using yoga props to support the healing and curative yoga therapeutic properties, which she has personally been trained to use from the world's leading Master, the now departed Geeta Iyengar as well as Marlene Mcwhinney, the world renowned therapeutic yoga teacher Stephanie Quirk, as well as Corinne and her husband Faeq Biria (some of the world's most renowned therapeutic yoga teachers). In addition, for a number of years, Mette has been personally trained by Dr. Vasant Lad in the principles of Ayureveda, both in terms of mantras, diet and the thousand year old philosophy of life Ayureveda.
PRANAYAM (MINDFULL BREATHING)
Learn the basic and extremely important breathing techniques that Mette has now used for more than 40 years in the treatment of people with stress & trauma.
MEDITATION AND HEALING MANTRAS
Introduction to healing meditation methods and mantras that bring calm and inner focus. We will always start and end with meditation and mantra meditation.
YOGA PHILOSOPHY
Yoga is an ancient tradition developed in India several thousand years ago. Among other things, yoga was developed to make us less egocentric and reduce suffering in our lives and the lives of others. If you don't understand the negative patterns that fuel the ego and create suffering, then these patterns will creep into your everyday life. In order to recognize and properly understand the depth and richness of Yoga philosophy, understanding Yoga philosophy is an important key to unlocking Yoga's great potential. We will reflect and discuss the most essential Indian concepts.
ANATOMY
The teaching includes basic neuroanatomy of the musculature of the face and skull.
DIET
Ayurvedic principles with a focus on anti-inflammatory and immune-enhancing diet.
FIVE WEEKENDS
Physical & online teaching spread over five weekends (one weekend every two months)
WEEKLY ONLINE CLASS
During the entire course, you will be taught in one weekly online class in the basic yoga therapeutic sequences of the program, however not during holiday periods.
UNLIMITED ACCESS to Mette Ørum's online forum with her 9 months of basic yoga therapy teaching. Here you will be able to follow Mette's online therapeutic yoga classes whenever you want and wherever you are.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
Are you interested in learning and understanding methods to combat stress and trauma? Our training is aimed at both individuals and professionals, and is designed to help you understand and deal with late effects in a more in-depth way. The training is open to everyone, including therapists, psychologists, physiotherapists, chiropractors, yoga teachers, nurses, doctors and anyone who already has experience in trauma management. This also includes former and current students of Mette. We have organized the training so that it fits into your busy everyday life, your work and private life. There will be breaks during the physical meeting weekends, where we provide tea and snacks. No stress but lots of good times with common colleagues.
HOW CAN YOU PREPARE
It might be a good idea to sign up for a yoga class, book private lessons or take part in one of Mette's yoga retreats. This allows you to build confidence and get a feel for the level of teaching. It is up to you to decide whether you are ready. If you are in doubt, the following is suggested: Come to a class, a workshop or take part in a yoga retreat with Mette. Ask her to keep an eye on your practice, after which you can have a short chat afterwards. There you can get to know each other better, and you get a feel for the level of teaching. Once you have started the training, you are offered 10% on Copenhagenyoga's yoga classes, workshops and retreats.

Selma Quist-Møller
Psychologist trained at UC Berkeley, UCLA and the University of Copenhagen. Special experience and knowledge about trauma, post-traumatic development, as well as research into mindfulness and yoga.
Mette Ørum
Internationally trained Yoga teacher Senior level, with over 35 years of experience in therapeutic trauma yoga. Trained Iyengar yoga teacher from 2007.
Felix Anton Quist-Møller
BA in psychology, anthropology and communication from Roskilde University. Research in yoga and spirituality. Taught in Yoga and Yoga philosophy at Copenhagen Yoga.
Ann-Charlotte Monrad
Charlotte will share her knowledge about yoga sutras by Patanjali on my yoga therapeutic training program, as well as on my annual course. Charlotte is the daily manager of Prana Yoga.
